clowdy day

How do you like this beautiful scene. Well this was taken last year in Hawaii and we sure wish we were back there again. Anyway it is a clowdy rainy day here but then it is the beginning of the fall season. It was a beautiful summer and we so enjoyed the warm hot weather but as are all things everything comes to an end. But fall can be very beautiful with the trees in their full glory and we must remember that God has ordained the changing of the seasons for a reason. We must always remember to praise Him for this glorious earth we live on and for all the changes that come to us as we mature and grow in His love.

tall ships

Yesterday Erie Pa. had a tall ship vestiville. It was one of the nicest things we have gone to in our home town for a very long time. We had five tall ships sail into our port on Thursday and if anyone has a chance to see these beautiful ships from the past I would encourage you to make the time to see them. One was the Bounty which was used in the movies (mutiny on the Bounty and Pirates of the Caribean) and our famous ship the Niagara. These ships sail the great lakes in the summer and many along this route get to see some of the history of how these ships were used many centuries ago. What a great history lesson for the young.

When things go wrong

What do we do when things go wrong for those you love? It is so hard to just say we will pray about it and we do but you know that the people you love are hurting. Our son-in-law is out of a job, not because he did something wrong, but because of the dislike of the person that was above him. What we should do is pray for that person who is going against God's will. That is a very hard lesson to learn but believe me it works and in the end the one that was hurt will receive rich blessings from our Father above. Now another of our Children will be faceing a new challenge in the future and what a blessing to know that he is doing Gods will and has for all of his life. Two different situations but not above what God wants for both of them. How wonderful is our God in heaven and how rich are His blessings to His children.

bad days and good days

This was a good day as the picture on the right was taken in Hawaii and oh how we wish we could go there again but then we have the peninsula and took a walk there this morning. It is not quite like Hawaii but just has its own beauty. Saturday was a bad day as I was tired and crancky from lack of sleep and you know those days when you feel sorry for yourself and just blah. Yesterday was just OK but on those days we feel so alone it is so easy to forget that we are not. Sure we have people around us but the important thing is to look on high to the one that never leaves us and is with us all the time. I just wish we were not so frail or so prone to let things get in the way of our relationship with our Lord and Savior

With so much beauty around us and so many things from Gods word to fill us with His love we need never to feel alone. It is to bad we let the human part of us take over. Praise the Lord that even though we fail Him alot of times He never fails us.

Gods handy work

Just look at this picture of the volcano that erupted in Iceland and it just shows what our amazing God can create. Everything we see in this world shows the creative hand of the Lord. How many times do we take the time to thank him for all the glory we see that surrounds us each and everyday. Take time today to smell the roses or what ever is blooming in your yard and thank him for these creations.

Birthday boy

This handsome man in the photo is turning 75 on the 13th of this month. Wow it seems almost impossible that my husband and I have made it to this age. We have our problems just like everyone else but we keep active and excercise three times of week at the Y but most of all our faith and love grows closer to the Lord everyday. This picture was taken on the Island of Hawaii at the end of the day.

That is why it seems dark and cloudy. This is the side of the Island that is a rain forest. Fasinating place and very beautiful.
