Christmas memories

Christmas is and always will be my most favorite time of the year. It was a great year this year and we got to spend Christmas eve with two of our children and with five of our grandchildren. My cousin who is as close to me as a sister came to visit over the holidays and it was so nice to talk about things we did as children. She is a Christian so it was a double joy to talk about things of the Lord. We will have to make every effort to visit her in the summer along with some of Davids relatives. So to all of you thanks for the cards and Terri thank you for the things you sent as they were awesome and we have really enjoyed those cookies. The jam we are saving for another time. Thanks to all of you and have a grand New Year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Christmas still is the most wonderful time of the year. With everyone happy and looking forward to time off from work. But do these people understand the reason we celebrate this wonderful story of the birth of our Savior. So much business and hurry and no one taking the time to remember that it all started two thousand years ago. Last night on public television they gave the account of Jesus Birth from the eyes of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John. For once it was an accurate account and was a blessing to hear from the Pastors that gave the history lesson. So many want to forget the above but they do not know what the message holds for them, the love of a Savior and eternal life. Let us remember to pray for those who do not want to accept this good news.

Christmas

This is always such a wonderful time of the year. We are starting to decorate the house and it looks so festive. It will most likely be a white Christmas and with the lights of homes that are decorated on the outside it is so beautiful. But let us through all the hustle and bustle remember those who are not fortunate like we are. There still are many hurting people out there that we need to help and can in many ways. Giving money to toys for tots.,donateing clothes and furniture to familys that lost everything in a fire & etc. If you look hard enough it is not hard to find ways to help many. We should thank God for all he has given us at this time of year because we have so much.

Christmas

This is one of our grandsons on a cold damp day. We have lots of these days this time of year but with lots of snow. So far we have had maybe an inch and a half. If only it would stay this way it would be a wonderful winter. Unfortunatly we know that this will never be but it has been wonderful to have for a very long time one of the best Novembers. Our grandson in this picture is 14 and is growing far to fast as is all our grandchildren. Life as the Lord tells us is but a vapor and fanishes quickly. How great to know that because of His sacrifice on the cross we have the hope of eternal life with Him. Christmas will soon be upon us and with all the hustle and bustle let us not forget the reason for which we are celebrating, our Lords birth.
